Meridian is an educational platform that supports nursing education and NCLEX-RN examination preparation. All content — including text and voice AI tutoring, practice questions, rationales, simulations, and readiness scores — is provided for study and self-assessment purposes only. AI responses can be inaccurate; verify educational claims against reliable current sources.

Nothing on Meridian constitutes medical, clinical, or professional advice. The content must never be used for clinical decision-making or patient care. Always rely on current clinical guidelines and your institution's protocols when making patient care decisions.

Meridian is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) or any official NCLEX® examination body. “NCLEX” and “NCLEX-RN” are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to describe the examination our materials help you prepare for.

Our simulations, scores, and readiness estimates are practice tools modeled on adaptive testing methods. They are approximations and do not predict, promise, or guarantee any particular outcome on the actual NCLEX-RN examination. Passing a Meridian simulation does not guarantee you will pass the real exam, and vice versa. Your results depend on many factors outside our control.

Meridian offers Nursing School, NCLEX-RN Prep, and a combined package, alongside a limited free tier. Both pathways include text AI tutoring; voice tutoring is available within Nursing School with an eligible paid package and the displayed usage allowance. Package features and limits are shown on the pricing page.

New subscriptions use Polar, our payment provider and merchant of record. Monthly plans renew every month, quarterly plans every three months, and annual plans every year until canceled. The quarterly or annual price is the total charged for that interval, not a monthly installment. By subscribing, you authorize the recurring charge disclosed at checkout.

The Meridian 90-Day Study Pass, when available, is a separate $80 USD one-time purchase for 90 days of Combined access starting after server-verified paid fulfillment. It does not renew automatically or cancel, replace, extend, or change existing subscriptions. Nursing School voice remains subject to its daily and session limits. Full refunds end access funded by the study pass; other valid purchases retain their own access. The same 30-day full-refund guarantee applies.

Meridian checkout is in USD. Polar calculates applicable VAT, GST, or sales tax and shows the tax breakdown and final payable total before confirmation and on your receipt. Whether tax is included or added depends on the checkout tax treatment and your location. Your bank may apply currency conversion or other fees if your account uses another currency. Review the currency, total, interval, and renewal terms before paying.

Cancellation: Sign in to Meridian, open Pricing or Profile, and select “Manage subscription” to open Polar’s customer portal. Select the subscription, choose cancellation, and confirm it. You can also follow the customer portal link in Polar’s order or subscription emails; Polar may ask you to verify your purchase email with a one-time code. Cancel before the next renewal to stop future charges.

For a subscription scheduled to cancel at period end, paid access continues until the end of the paid billing period and then ends for that subscription. Check the effective date in the portal and confirmation. Immediate revocation, a full refund of the payment funding that access, or an unrecovered payment failure can end access earlier. Other valid, unexpired purchases remain subject to their own terms. Cancellation does not itself request a refund; a refund does not automatically stop future subscription renewals. If you want both, request both.

If the portal is unavailable, your purchase is missing, or you paid through an earlier provider, email hello@meridiannclex.com for cancellation or billing assistance. Historical purchases retain their applicable terms, valid access, and refund and cancellation rights. Earlier one-time purchases do not become recurring subscriptions.

Refund policy — 30-day full-refund guarantee: Meridian offers a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Request a refund for any reason within 30 days of your purchase or subscription renewal payment and you will receive a full refund of that payment, including applicable tax. You do not need to troubleshoot, accept a replacement, or let us attempt to resolve an issue first. Using the service does not remove your eligibility under this guarantee.

To request a refund, email hello@meridiannclex.com with your account or purchase email and, if available, the receipt or order reference and payment date. Do not send full card details. Tell us if you also want to cancel future renewals. We arrange the refund for the relevant payment through Polar, or assist with the original provider for historical purchases. Polar processes full and partial order refunds and automatically returns the corresponding tax; Meridian’s guarantee is a full refund, not a partial refund. Processing and bank posting times vary, and we will confirm the outcome with you.

This is Meridian’s guarantee, not a separate guarantee made by Polar. It is additional to, and does not limit, statutory withdrawal, cancellation, refund, or other consumer rights. Any greater protection continues to apply.

Information processed: Account and profile information includes your name, email, authentication identifiers, preferences, and profile details you supply. Learning information includes question responses, scores, progress, readiness estimates, study plans, selected subjects, notes, and usage allowances. We process support messages and billing records such as customer and order identifiers, subscription status, payment amounts, currency, and refund history. Full payment card details are handled in hosted payment services rather than collected by Meridian’s checkout.

Text AI tutoring: Your messages and conversation history, selected topic, language, and relevant teaching context are sent to third-party AI services to generate responses. Text tutoring and explanations currently use Anthropic services, with Netlify AI Gateway where configured. Translation also uses third-party AI processing. Guided NCLEX tutor conversations, including messages and answer counts, are saved to support resuming a case. Nursing School text conversations can save recent excerpts as account study notes. Conversation history is also processed when generating a response, whether or not a particular conversation is saved.

Nursing School voice tutoring: Voice requires microphone permission and sends audio to OpenAI’s realtime service for interactive tutoring and transcription. Captions are displayed in the session. Meridian stores session metadata, timing and allowance records, and a short conversation excerpt as a study note when the session ends successfully. The current application does not save raw audio recordings to Meridian storage. Audio and transcripts are nevertheless processed by the voice provider under its applicable service terms and retention practices; this is not a promise that no audio is processed or retained by that provider. Use text tutoring if you do not want microphone-based processing.

Technical data, storage, and analytics: Hosting, authentication, and security services process technical information such as IP addresses, device/browser information, request logs, and authentication sessions. Browser storage supports sign-in, preferences, and learner state. The embedded Tawk.to support widget can process visitor/device data and, when you use it, chat messages and contact details. Support forms send the information you enter to Netlify Forms; configured transactional email uses Resend. When configured, PostHog product analytics records usage events and page interactions and can associate them with your account identifier after sign-in. Analytics is not limited to your name and email. Do not submit identifiable patient information, confidential clinical records, or sensitive information unnecessary for study in chats, voice, notes, or support messages.

Purposes and service providers: We use information to operate and secure accounts, deliver and personalize learning and AI responses, enforce package and usage rules, process payments and refunds, respond to support, and understand service use. Providers include Netlify for hosting, database and AI infrastructure; Supabase for authentication and account-related services; Polar for current payments and subscription management; Anthropic and OpenAI for the AI features described above; PostHog for configured analytics; Tawk.to for embedded live support; and Resend for configured transactional email. Supabase also stores guided tutor case history, while saved study notes and voice session records use Meridian’s database. Historical payment providers may retain records needed for earlier transactions. These services may process information outside your country, including in the United States, subject to applicable transfer requirements and provider arrangements. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention and your rights: We retain information for service delivery, support, security, and applicable accounting and legal obligations; retention differs by record and provider. We do not promise immediate deletion of all backups or financial records. You may request access, correction, deletion, information about retention or international transfers, or object to processing where applicable by emailing us. We verify requests and explain any legal retention requirements or limits. Where consent is the applicable basis, you may withdraw it, without affecting prior lawful processing. You may complain to the South African Information Regulator or your relevant data protection authority. Mandatory rights under POPIA and other applicable privacy law remain unaffected.

You agree to use Meridian for your own personal nursing education and exam preparation and not to copy, redistribute, resell, or scrape our question bank, rationales, or other content. Accounts found sharing credentials or redistributing content may be suspended.

All content on Meridian — including questions, rationales, videos, text, graphics, logos, and software — is owned by Meridian NCLEX and protected by copyright laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the platform for your own nursing education and exam preparation while your account is active.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use Meridian. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meridian NCLEX, its owners and team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of income, or exam failure, arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that protection, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to us in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts, subject to mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction rights that apply to you. We process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), including its principles of lawful, minimal, and purpose-limited processing.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Meridian after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
